Is it just me or does pretty much every well-established wallet seem extremely against launching a token?

I understand most of these products are profitable in the absence of a token but feels like a massive opportunity for someone to really lean in here and capture a significant amount of mindshare

Yup this is basically where i net out too.

Make so much revenue you don't need to deal with all the bs of launching a token.

My point mainly stems from a new team at ground zero looking to take market share I suspect could do pretty well launching a token with the product on day one

i understand why mm and phantom don't do it. i think mm made like 250m in 2023 on swaps alone

I also don’t understand the hesitance, especially given most wallets are historically pretty bad at creating a community around their product/brand (bar a few) 

I assume it’s probably some regulatory risk aversion type scenario but if done well I think a token could act as a good way to reward users and attract new ones

Literally just rev share from fee swaps correct

Get tokens back for swapping on the wallet - get discounted swap fees for staking tokens.

Bearish on governance for DeFi tokens, bullish onchain rev share with staking for premium features

What would be the purpose, really? Governance? Revenue share from swap fees (assuming you use the wallets swap function)?

Maybe with some regulatory clarity, we’ll see one soon! Metamask is way overdue, though honestly, that team fumbled their first mover advantage. It’s hot garbage in comparison to wallets like Rainbow, Rabby, Phantom, etc.
