I do think client as a service is a valuable business

The thing to solve for though is showing only the relevant info to that community while filtering out spam enough so the client experience is actually good

All interests, topics, ideas become DAO-like social networks.

Maybe start an OS client skeleton. 
You need to make it easy for devs before it becomes easy for everyone else. Faster to implement and discover what’s important that way
