One thing that I've never understood is why people in crypto are so quick to dismiss or shit on something that doesn't immediately pump their bags or doesn't immediately make them money. Shipping anything takes so much heart - wish people would have a little more respect and support for one another.

I’m always amazed at how uninterested a large portion of crypto market participants are in some of the cool things that being built. I remember excitedly sharing things like Snapshot or Gitcoin Passport in r/cryptocurrency when I first discovered them. Only to be shat on for (nonsensically) “shilling my bags”.

It's wild how short-term many people are thinking this cycle. When I first got into crypto in 2014 the mindset I had (and shared with others) was that this tech is going to change the world over the next 20 years. Now I'm seeing people thinking with a time horizen of literal minutes sometimes.

crypto attracts the gambling type of person who wants immediate dopamine hits. plus anything dealing with money, you will have those protecting their bags. look at the nft gatekeeping collectors!! they are worse than the crypto bros. taking advantage of artists, etc.
