What I've come to realize is that in most cases I'd be better off just buying something and holding it vs trying to swing trade and sell the top.

Countless examples where my entry was perfect - but I paper handed 90% of the position on the way up and missed out on a pretty sizable winning trade.

Lesson there.

Same here...I feel like the VC approach is best. Bet on things you have conviction on, hodl and be comfortable almost all will go to zero, but a few outsized gains will more than make up for it.
