Streaks are the truth. Something very powerful about a constant reminder to post in a channel that most represents your identity on FC. Pretty amazing dynamic to track brand loyalty and encourage you to constantly reinforce why a channel is special to you.

Streaks are pure gamification, making them opt-in is not great UX and pushing extrinsic motivation. Also tracking loyalty would have worked without it as well. Streaks work but the implementation is not great and will lead to more activity, but also "spam" as people will post just to keep the streak going...
