I just had an ecommerce idea, but privacy concerns are real when building in web3. I would love for @idriss & @gnosis-guild @enclavee3 to collaborate into building a zk-native address book for merchants to retrieve data from it like where to ship an order and things like that. The user is still in control of what to share with the merchant. Please do something or if this already exists point me in the right direction @geoist @levertz @auryn

when purchasing from retailers like amazon ebay etc, probably no. But when dealing with crypto-native merchants that are not Fortune 500 companies, then yea they care. People use alias to subscribe to newsletters because they dont want to share their email.

I see people on this platform mailing stuff all the time, I personally subscribe to /vrbscoffee and it requires them to know my addy. @samantha ships candles to people. Maybe you're worried about something that won't be a hindrance. Especially if you haven't even tried to do it yet, assuming there's a pain point before knowing there is a pain point.

Of course it's doable without this "feature", numbers don't like, ecommerce is a normal thing nowadays, but it is nice to have options like choosing to keep some information private.
