agree insomuch as the internets next phase is building cities disagree that they will be open by any means; humans have built walls around anything worth protecting for as long as they have existed: walls are in our dna luckily fc makes building walls easy

im not dunking, im just saying. we didnt build walls around everything. its a fact. we do it now because we need to create artificial scarcity and a sense of FOMO. we do it to purposely exclude. not a world im interested in living in.

nearly every significant city in human history had some kind of wall… it’s about safety, control & cultural preservation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_with_defensive_walls?wprov=sfti1#

the only safety i need is to protect my crops from animals.... only control i need is of my own life.... cultural preservation....that is just nonsense....cultures will be preserved if we dont run them over and commit genocide.... we need walls because we pretend to need protection and control...from each other? its just lies.

i guess your ancestry is more jungle than plains? most of human history has had raiders, going back to the time of neanderthals if not earlier. Gilgamesh built the great walls around Uruk

i personally don't live in a period of time where I am worried about invaders πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ I live in a time where cooperation is easier than ever, if we choose it.

commual living to ownership and territoriality....i.e. artificial scarcity and purposeful exclusion...this is a choice and not a necessity....

I would kind of reframe this as Moloch, and Efferium Solves This. but it's early. what is brypto if not scarcity and exclusion (for some greater good, in the application of ownership), in contrast with AI which is (the promise of) abundance

say more? at first approx, I think the 21 million limit is reassuring, while a monetary policy that flips between inflationary-deflationary modes forces me to suspend disbelief. But idk, am not so smort. non ownership means non exclusionary, right? so it breaks nft's (which solve for uniqueness) and erc20's (which solve for double-spend). what do you have in mind?
