i think a lot of folks have realised that rollup-centricism maybe isn't the best plan, and that we still need to focus on improving the L1 in addition to fostering L2 growth. I don't think it has to be strictly either/or

Raising the block gas limit is very short sighted imo

You have to consider that you are paying for storage on an infinite amount of computers forever.
