Depression should not be seen merely as a pathological disorder, but rather as a sign of a profound inner process. It is a period in which a person is inevitably confronted with the hidden layers of their own being. This confrontation may be bitter and painful, yet it can mark the beginning of a deeper journey toward self-understanding and the start of a new chapter in one’s psychological life.

My mom’s been struggling with severe depression for about 4 years now and is under treatment. I absolutely hate this illness. :(

I dont see it like that the depression i got after my dad passed has wrecked my life and still sticks with me getting out of this feels like a pipe dream i aint seeing it as some self discovery or fresh start its just pain and struggle

I would like to state that depression shouldn't be ignored as a pathology, because it's known that the brain of these ppl is physically different. I would say there are two kinds of depression background (inner dive/external factors) but the symptoms are similar ad shouldn't be ignored. As of me, almost at age 30, I'm so tired of confrontations and deep questions, I wish my mind left me alone at least for ten minutes
