i as well would like to hear from some brits. i can't truly tell but it looks like the uk is in utter chaos (george orwell rolling over in his grave)

Not just the UK, here in Portugal similar cases start to appear I have a couple of people from my network who got beaten up and robbed on the streets and similarly no one wanted to hear about it
