it's actually a similar problem to Bitcoin mining in the beginning, anyone could mine Bitcoin with a cheap ass computer because it was worth nothing there was no competition same with DEGEN tipping, it worked in the beginning on a simple trust system because it was worthless

I disagree with your task system idea. The bar was always low and that’s why it was fun It’s a lie that ppl tell. That we used to have high quality casts. Negative. The high quality casts were me shouting DEGEN = $1 400 times a day in twenty channels It was the same fun we same in /lp for farming ham or in /higher or any other channel we hit a plateau because ppl want to make money and the fun is over Memcoins either make it because the fun continues, it evolves into something else, or the free supply runs out and ppl HODL into a cult Degen still has supply so it goes down Tapering the supply at this point won’t help IMO because the cult is far gone Our hope now is that ppl still HODL and add to their positions and as time goes on ppl remember that DEGEN is the unofficial official token of Farcaster and the cult is revived - this is very possible btw. I still HODL because I know that the cult is embedded inside us. So long as the 2024 class of FC exists DEGEN has a good chance

it's a pessimistic take but you could be right but I see the problem as - we have a shit ton of DEGEN to still distribute - we can continue to distribute in a way that is easy to farm - or we can distribute it in a way that accomplishes things that are constructive towards promoting DEGEN sure yeah we could roll over and die and leave it to fate as well, but why not at least try to put that money to use also I never said we had "high quality casts" I just said it was low difficulty in the beginning because the coin had 0 value we were all shitposting and handing each other money for shitposting, that's part of my point that doesn't work now because the game changed so you either evolve or die
