It feels good to share anonymously. Many wouldn’t believe it, but I survived a suicide attempt.

Years of pain led me there discrimination, being fired from a job I helped build with a cold email: “We no longer need you as you can’t speak X language.” Yet, the job was in English. That moment broke me, resurfacing memories I had buried.

Since then, I’ve struggled to work in groups, fearing I’m not good enough. Those who’ve worked with me praise my work, ask to meet but I always decline. The trauma lingers.

Financially, it’s been tough. I know I have a lot to offer, but I’m scared of falling back into that dark place. I miss who I used to be social, open, curious.

And the funny part? If you saw me, you’d never believe it. But pain doesn’t always show. Maybe this is my first step back after 8 years!
