I like what @base can mean for the world, but I LOVE Bitcoin. The fact that most EVM chains like Base hold more Bitcoin than Bitcoin L2s like Stacks or Rootstock or even the Lightning Network is intriguing to me. If I wanted to build BTC dapps without using ETH on Base, it’s currently not possible. Unless πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

Unless we figure out a way to remove the ETH aspect of Base on the frontend for users. Gas is very small so what if a Dapp could set up an ETH holding that would serve as a sponsoring mechanism? This keeps everything simple for the user on the frontend by allowing them to simply sign to interact w/ cbBTC. So πŸ‘‡πŸΎ

So, here’s a chance to explore this concept in a testnet output through an open source repo. This has been an idea in my mind since I first joined @warpcast as a Bitcoin preferred person that genuinely likes the Base ecosystem. Try it out and let me know your thoughts! https://github.com/CMPGFB/Sponsored-Txs
