After studying Binance’s “2024 Mid-Year Report,” I found some interesting data:

1️⃣ BTC ETF: Proposed in July 2013 and approved at the beginning of 2024; BTC ETFs are valued at approximately $52 billion, compared to gold ETFs at about $110 billion.

2️⃣ DeFi is still about Ethereum: Total TVL increased from $54.4 billion at the beginning of the year to $94.1 billion at the end of June, with Ethereum accounting for $58.2 billion or 61.9%. This is the strength of L2, with an L2 TVL of $43 billion; among L2 solutions, BASE was the most profitable in the first half of the year, earning $42.6 million.

3️⃣ Meme coins are still about SOL: Meme coins had the highest returns among all types in the first half of the year, reaching 279%. Therefore, pump.fun earned $42 million. Meme coins are hard to catch; on SOL, over 409,300 meme coins were launched on various DEXs in June alone.

4️⃣ The shocking data is about TON: TVL grew by 5087%; not has 35 million players, and hamster has 300 million players.

5️⃣ In the second half of the year, we need to look at whether there are new narratives: BTC’s L2, ownership economy (socialfi, depin), GameFi, RWA…
