Why is the Netflix series called “The 3 body problem” when there are 4 bodies, a planet + 3 suns?

The issue, as I understand it, is that 3 bodies of roughly equal mass (the suns) cannot create a stable system and are chaotic by nature. The planet is much smaller and does not impact system stability/instability.

The title references the physics problem, not the number of bodies.

The interaction between two celestial bodies is predictable. Once you introduce a third, interaction become unpredictable. As you introduce others, even more so. I’m guessing the show is conceptually referencing entropy in general

They took out the planet from the calculation as it was destroyed by the suns gravitational force
