I haven't started a new painting since I imploded my life this time last year and I'm feeling kind of ready but also terrified. How do you get past that part when it's been so long you can't remember how to start?

There is no better way to start than to begin. But if there is pressure mounting maybe begin with something low stake. Paint a couple quick studies on normal paper to explore colors/shapes for a later "real" painting?

I seriously hadn't thought of this, thank you πŸ’œ I tend not to be precious about materials but maybe BIG canvas is to big for my brain right now. 200 $degen
