Maybe Balaji is just trying to pump BTC enough to make himself an extra M on a trade so he can take the bet for publicity and end up net even.

I had a quick thought along these lines but I don’t think so anymore. I think Balaji is sincere but wrong on this one.

Yes he’s proving a point now and raising some awareness but I fear it might backfire in 90 days. He has a huge credibility balance now with his prescient COVID tweets and he’s directly borrowing against that for this “hyperinflation in 90 days” thesis. Unnecessary and big credibility hit risk IMO.

hmm idk how much being a huge BTC bull hurts his credibility tbh 

He’s trying to prove a point and bring US economic issues to light. This certainly seems like an effective way to do it!
