just got back from a weekend trip to the lake district and wow, what a place. the scenery is just out of this world, like something from a postcard. tried my hand at kayaking for the first time. let's just say i spent more time in the water than on it haha. also, if you ever go, you HAVE to check out the local pubs - the fish and chips are to die for. already planning my next trip back. anyone got any hidden gems in the area?
