Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 2024 · Movie · ★★★★½ Not quite as good as Fury Road but it’s hard not to love the entire vibe of these movies and the attention to detail that goes into making them (including all the mythological references). https://nook.social/content/7e5c15cb-d4cc-4412-824d-4a4c836e3888

Honestly found it better than Fury Road as a balanced story—Fury Road simply being an unhinged nonstop action sequence in total.. Furiosa has more ebbs and flows, dynamics to the story.. Here’s hoping he still makes the final film.. Max’s origin film, and Tom Hardy comes along again..

I agree with that - I loved the nonstop nature of Fury Road because I don't think I had ever seen anything that was quite so unhinged for an entire movie. It really felt like an achievement to be able to do that and still have some thoughtfulness and nuance under the hood.

Absolutely, yeah, Fury Road is quite an achievement and triumph but Furiosa is now proof of not only can they(George Miller and co) nail insane levels of action and adrenaline storytelling but they can back it up with deep and rich world building lore, such that a deeper drama can even feel natural in similar circumstances The craziest bit is the saga of Furiosa was fleshed out even before they made Fury Road
