Why are we obsessed with adding more digital slop for people to interact with

What parents really need is to turn off literally every piece of technology, and just hang out with their kids as 100% present, engaged adults

AI is a useful tool in some parenting use cases (just like...search and messaging is), but labeling a whole investment thesis around this as if it is going to be embedded in daily parenting is lazy thinkfluencer clickbait.

most of what young kids are learning (especially at a young age) is not "facts" but social skills, how to interact with other humans, etc.

all human things. the AI can't teach them those things and parents who substitute tech for these things are going to be setting their children back

what kids need is to go out into the world, interact with/in it, and adjust their behavior accordingly

not mutually exclusive, but "venture scale" businesses aren't built around "once in a while" use cases

on the flip side, parents need to weave themselves into their local fabric of society by asking other parents for advice, not an LLM. that is where resilience, wisdom, etc. are forged

good analogy is we give kids phones in like 5th grade, and then wonder why they suck at talking TO adults - even though they talk LIKE adults

Once again agree but to me it sounds like you’re painting a mutually exclusive world. 

Am I wrong in that?
