Often it is. Why? It’s like trying to gain football and tennis fans by promoting basketball. However, there’s always those who break the norm.

i think the key is whether the consumer behavior you're trying to unlock that is web3 is potentially mainstream or something that will stay limited to early adopters for a while

for example: early internet users having to "connect" to the internet vs being connected all the time now. clearly behavior evolved over time

Definitely. That’s why VCs don’t like it, as it takes a lot of time and effort to form a hybrid user base.
