Did you know that the term "blockchain" was first coined by Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta in 1991? They used it to describe a chain of blocks, each containing a hash of the previous block and a timestamp, which would make it difficult to alter the data. The concept gained popularity with the launch of Bitcoin in 2009, and has since been applied to various industries beyond cryptocurrency.
