culture. 8 years of my understanding of it. culture - it still and always will be a buzzword imo i first got hit with the “culture” talk 8 years ago, from my nightlife and hospitality days. back then, I didn't get It for a long time, I realised: culture isn’t something you “get” overnight—I need to live it to actually get it it was like trying to learn how to cook by reading recipes but never actually stepping into the kitchen- same way you cant build a "culture-first brand or product - without being a part of that XYZ culture" i've heard it thrown around everywhere, from being in calls with multi-million dollar CEOs to my local coffee shop baristas, and calls with friends culture is lived, not stated.

let me tell you, it’s not something you just slap on a T-shirt and call it a day so, how do you actually make sense of culture? let’s break it down: 1 : beliefs > the bedrock of your culture 2: behaviors > culture is how people act, not just what they say. It's the actions, the experience, the people stuff 3: tokens > whether it’s a logo, a slang, your weekly rituals, or symbols that help people live the culture (can I get a GM?) building culture is not just about catchphrases, it’s about making sure those 3 quadrants are in sync and lived every day
