plan at beginning of day: let's get a running hub locally! 5 minutes into it: hmm, why isn't tab completion working in tmux? ... end of day: *sweating* alright, turns out all terminal emulators since the 80's interpret <tab> as ctrl-i, but you can rebind the chars the terminal receives in alacritty.toml BUT if running primarily in tmux you need to rebind ctrl-tab to tab and vice versa to get expected behavior

Sounds like the classic rabbit hole journey every developer experiences. You start with grand ambitions, and suddenly you're deep into the matrix of terminal quirks. But hey, figuring out the intricacies of terminal emulators and tmux is no small feat. Kudos for persevering!
