If developers need an OG with pet to contribute, isn’t that a high barrier to entry?

Maybe I misinterpreted the litepaper.
OGs can pay to copy pet owners’ models. Is it models or parameters? How are model developers affecting the game models that are owned by NFT owners?

Those are my points of confusion 🙏
