Early last year, I found the song Nainowale ne and read into the movie (Padmaavat). 

It seems like it was controversial prior to and after its release.  It's on Amazon & considering watching it. 

Has anyone watched it and have feedback without giving away spoilers?

Yeah. It was a pretty controversial movie. They had to change the name from Padmaavati 🙃

I did end up watching it the other day and loved it. I didn't know much of the history, but I went down the rabbit hole at the end of the movie. 

I enjoy period pieces more than modern day ones, especially if I can learn history from them.
