Interesting thread on marketing on other web2 platforms than X for crypto products/brands.

My thoughts:

It’s mostly a skill gap issue - most crypto marketers are comfortable with CT/FC etc. but lack expertise in platforms like TikTok/IG.

Marketing crypto on web2 platforms is challenging but rewarding - requires finesse to build presence without alienating mainstream users.

Imo, it's worth exploring for projects that either:

• Solve real problems (DEXs, stables)
or
• Can build genuine emotional connections with users

Potential extends to perps platforms, CEXs, meme tokens, community tokens, and charity projects. Maybe even artists and music producer that have their offerings mainly/only on-chain?

Added challenge: You’re not just marketing, you’re educating users simultaneously (at the very last once they bought into the marketing)

Been working on this myself - a fresh challenge that forces you to think differently about crypto marketing.

If mass adoption is the goal, why do 90% of projects only market on Twitter. Why aren’t more of them actually meeting people where they are - on TikTok, IG, and YouTube?
