I obviously have some trust issues

Exactly, not your idea is what will bring you success, it's the combination of idea + your (teams) execution.

You will have to compete anyway, don't worry about your idea getting stolen. Because if the idea is stolen, the 'thief' still has to execute better on it than you.

Mmm thats true.. others will do the same and we’ll have to keep on working hard even if we were there first
