My nuc had been randomly powering off over the last few weeks, causing some stress trying to figure out the issue. Then one day I'm doing the laundry and see the modem and router reset at the same time and the nuc is powered off. Long story short, I now have a new UPS.

Make sure you adjust the auto power on setting in the BIOS! So even if there's anything wrong with the UPS it should turn itself back on after a power outage :)
