For those using Obsidian, what value do you get from linking notes? Also, what does your workflow look like? I've recently moved the bulk of my notes to Obsidian but figure I'm not utilizing the app for its own strengths...or am I overthinking this? 🤔

linking value: -a wiki like experience -going up- or downstream the „knowledge“ -structuring your notes congruent with the flow of your mind -being able to visualize it as an graph -footnote to big, make a link to a new note -make a standalone index note for each new project (collect in context)

Workflow: Don‘t move all your files to obsidian yet. I really suggest, that you first play around for 1-3 weeks. To get the feeling and find your own workflow. It‘s easier to iterate and change up your system with less notes. after you found your flow, file all your notes directly in the right working system.

good to know: - in the settings you can set a fixed folder in your file system for pasted mediums (pictures etc.). great for screenshots and graphs. you can then rerefference it instead of re-pasting the same medium. And all the pictures etc. are out of your way (not in the main folder)
