every time I am doing something that requires reaching out to people individually, I channel nerd’s discipline and persistence

I think this is one of the most unspoken / misleading aspects of the creator path—those you see with large audiences often have stories about how they grind in the beginning. Reaching out to each person they know. Passing flyers in the street. There is often a sense of shame I see with my creator friends when I suggest these tactics and I experienced it too—really? Do I really have to do that?

Yes! Or else how will people even know what you are up to??

the subtlety is that all connections can be mutually beneficial. You are not begging. You are merely presenting your offering, and helping out in exchange. We humans are social creatures, and we cannot surmount challenges alone.
