in all seriousness, i looked through my casts and i couldn't find *one* example of casting in the same channel two days in a row. i am sure many others are the same. that said, i like experimenting and its interesting to consider how one small little thing ("number go up") can drastically alter the user behavior of an entire network (assuming a lot of people are committing to their streaks)

I feel you. And I think you're right to a degree here. I tend to rove, but also cast a lot in a particular channel. That said, streaks are opt-in and there's currently no benefit to doing so, which means it's purely a new and interesting vanity metric. Based on what I've read, @dwr.eth is definitely trying to incentivise "narrowcasting" as a means to building lush niches of content, and I'm fine with that both as a goal and streaks as an exercise. I think experimenting is important. Also, I just had this meme pop into my mind and wanted to make it 😆
