This is my first bull market (I got in heavily like the newbie I was at the top in ‘21). Been enjoying the bear tbh I’m now aware I need to be thinking about taking profits at some point. I’d appreciate any pointers or further reading. 1st question do you buy the idea this market goes on for another 18mths?

I’m in similar boat and thinking about the same. Up now, but nothing notable, and debating what signals to watch for exit - also what does that mean (sell X%, rotate to specific assets even if they also fall, full sale and believe I’m smart enough to catch the next bottom, etc). Would value hearing your thinking

"take enough that you won't regret it either way." is the most useful thing I’ve heard. Am now trying to work out what that is, with a view to setting some sell stops (I think sell stops is the right wording but not sure)

It’ll take some mental work, but setting stop limit sell orders makes a ton of sense. I am not ready to decide when to sell ‘at the top’ but it would be good to set some floors to avoid roundtripping bull market gains.
