Looks like there's already a rough consensus, but I'll chime in to say I agree with @adrienne: use what's here and let it emerge. Since we're on the cusp of big changes to channels, I think we should wait and see how that process goes. Maybe we'll have some slowcore-friendly options we didn't have before.
