Zuck launched at the perfect moment, just about when Elon announced rate limits. Also, Twitter has become a paid product AND did not drop ads for verified members + added paywalls via superfollows. Overall, a lesser product. Hope this competition makes the case for decentralized social clear af.

The issue w Twitter coming clean about previous censoring behavior is that it does NOT provide a plan to avoid this moving forward. It just shines light on one topic that happens to no longer be very relevant.

The AI paper clip maximizer shares a lot with some of our elected officials. Could it be they’re just optimizing for their job descriptions and disregarding the externalities of their actions? At the peril of all of us. Whether fighting inflation or engaging in proxy wars.

Why is it that SBF is known as the altruist in crypto, and not Vitalik? Remember when Vitalik donated $1B to India’s Covid relief program. Seems more effective to me.
