If you're going to cast an image, cast it from the web client when you can. Much better quality than casting on mobile. Right now there is a lot of image compression casting from mobile.

I've got alot of social media sized images on my phone, I wonder if that helps?

You can test it out and see what you think. I've noticed a good amount of banding the times i've tried on mobile. I usually keep mine to 1080 for posting on here, at least until better image quality is supported.
