I open the latest press this morning and there's an article from McNicholas on the Athletic. It turns out that Arteta secretly hired a team of professional pickpockets at a dinner with the players. These masters of illusion were tasked with going between tables and stealthily stealing phones and wallets from unsuspecting first-team players. At the end of the meal, Arteta stood up and asked the team to empty their pockets. Several players had valuables missing. The idea was to teach the team to always be ready, alert and prepared - at all times.
