2 is @percs BUT GOD IT IS ANNOYING only spam came out of adding API to DC's in my experience every time i get an automated dc i block the person

i can think of two main methods that automated dc's were used so far: 1. notifications coming from the apps i use about the things that are relevant to me (e.g. when i tip degen and the bot dc's me about it and doesn't spam the feed) 2. marketing sendouts — that i absolutely hate, especially because there is no way of opting out but blocking, muting or unfollowing which isn't ideal — i do want to have this dc available sometimes (e.g. for support) i (maybe irrationally) deal with automated dc's like with push notifications: bank telling me my cc got charged? push me anytime. uber eats sending me a useless promotion? no likey

So true. @percs is very powerful, but some spammers are also using it. We are removing them regularly, but it's a cat and mouse game.

option to opt out from marketing communications (like "unsubscribe" in emails) will help
