It's very simple: If you ONLY want degens to use your application, scream about how it's built 'onchain' If you want (literally anyone else) to use your application, lock any blockchain related verbiage in a box and throw away the key

I kind of disagree. Early traction is going to come from "Degen" or folks with wallets. Once the app has achieved early traction, then change the messaging to target the masses. Going after masses before targeting existing audiences is like going to Mars before the moon. It's hard and unnecessary.

If you are building a pure crypto app, then sure But if you're building a consumer application (photos onchain, ticketing, art, social) and a user doesn't need to know about crypto/blockchain, then I see zero reason as to why it's beneficial to share the infra it's built on Also - we have embedded/smart wallets for the exact purpose of not having to educate consumers...
