The name of this Iranian scientist is Kochar Birkar. He was born shortly before the 1357 Iranian revolution in Nei village in Marivan in Kurdistan province. He is the third child in a family of six children. Kocher's family was Birkar, a farmer of leafy vegetables and wheat. His brother, who was six years older than him, noticed his talent and helped him focus on mathematics. At the age of 10 or 11, Kocher studied advanced mathematics and physics, equivalent to the last year of high school. Birkar finished his education up to high school in Marivan.
