This year I built: First of all, we at Base Enugu wish you all a Happy and Basesome New Year! The journey since last year has been remarkable. ✓ What began as a community of just five members has grown into a thriving group of over 250 active builders on Base. ✓ We hosted weekly calls, ✓ onboarding sessions, ✓ and unified resources through the successful merger of @baseunn into Base Enugu. ✓ We’ve also held regular spaces on X to onboard new users and promote the ecosystem. ✓ We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, especially seeing members create amazing projects on Base. This year I built: Got into base this year and I focused more on crafting video contents that help builders to know how to use tools and resources in the ecosystem. The one that stands out for me is the video I created to show my Nigerian friends struggling to access the Coinbase Wallet on how to do that.

This week I built: Continued working on 𝐕𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚. The token vesting smart contract for Vesta was enhanced with the following features: 1. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 & 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐲: Users can view all beneficiaries and query their remaining vested balance. 2. 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐬: Beneficiaries can withdraw tokens in smaller chunks. 3. 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥: An admin can manage vesting schedules, remove beneficiaries, and update schedules. 4. 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠: Logs were added to track vesting deposits and withdrawals for transparency. This week I built: a decentralized lottery system. EthaLottery is a blockchain-based lottery application that ensures fairness, transparency, and trustless prize distribution. Built on Ethereum-compatible smart contracts, it allows users to participate in a secure lottery system, where winners are selected randomly using Chainlink VRF. This week I built: GasTracker is a Solidity smart contract designed to monitor and record gas usage for specific function calls on the Ethereum blockchain. It enables developers to analyze gas consumption, optimize smart contracts, and understand transaction costs.
