There’s an old joke that says it well.
“When a woman says she’s going to bed, she wipes down the counters, loads and starts the dishwasher, preps the coffeemaker for the morning, moves a load of clothes from the washer to the dryer, locks the doors, checks on the sleeping babies, turns out the lights, brushes her teeth, sets the alarm clock, and goes to bed. When a man says he’s going to bed, he turns off the TV and goes to bed.”
