To earn roles, you simply need to;
1:Participate in community events.
2:Help out in the general/regional chat.
3:Excell in the Ambassador program. 
4:Create unique content.

The roles are earned progressively, such that you earn higher roles by converting accumulated lower roles into higher roles.

Details in picture below.

To put into context:
Accumulate three first-level roles (seeker,apprentice, and initiate), and then they can be converted into one second-level role(Adept Explorer or Adept Challenger).

Gather three more first-level roles, and you’ll earn another second level role.

Finally, two second-level roles can be combined into the highest rank, "Master Champion."

What are the benefits of this roles?
