I had an acquaintance who did 3D art but switched to Windows to use Blender with a good graphics card.

Do you feel the time it takes to create art like this is similar to say stop motion that is also time and (different) resource intensive?

Technically, yes, especially now with the M chips and Octane..

All the graphics were created on macOS in illustrator and photoshop, along with most of the models in C4D, aside from some sculptures created on iPadOS..

The render itself was performed on my windows rig, only because it has 2x4080 Supers

this 240 frame sequence took a little over four hours to render
