What platform is you favorite for receiving public support? We want something SEO optimized and discord isn't. I saw there is discourse and also github discussions. but open to pros and cons of all tools

I would be interested to see what people suggest. Imo it depends on the product. For instance, if it’s an open source library then GitHub issues make a lot of sense. If it’s an app or web based product then it gets harder.

It's an open source library; I was leaning towards GitHub discussions that seems to be a bit different than issues. but had someone share that devs are use to turning to github to discuss. I worry creating another medium all together can be more fracturing Wanna strike the best balance between meeting needs & reduction in comms fracturing

Yeah that’s tough. I would say either GitHub discussions or issues generally have great SEO if it becomes a common question or problem. I’ve personally benefited from highly commented issues because comments with solutions have lots of reactions, or perhaps the issue is closed and notes it was patched in a later version. It’s also great for linking to existing issues that already have answers and comments.
