I believe it is really hard to separate the art from the artist. Especially if the artist is not aligned with our values or we consider immoral. So I would say it is true, generally speaking.

Nevertheless, I've voted false, as I already did that exercise before, and now I can say I am ok admiring completing assholes (in music , in writing, architecture....)

On the other hand, historically women had less chances, so its natural than looking to the past, is just only motherfuckers who appears on the list. Despite this, I love them all.

There’s gotta be women too but I bet if you ask most ppl it’s going to be men that come to mind at first
