Bitcoin Breaks Below $97K with $555M Liquidated as US Economic Indicators Strengthen Bitcoin dropped below $97,000 on Wednesday, losing its grip on the $100,000 level. The decline followed a series of positive US economic reports Tuesday, which raised fears that a potential inflation rebound could delay the Federal Reserve’s plans to ease monetary policy. U.S. stocks gave up early gains after the Labor Department reported an unexpected increase in job openings for November. Additionally, a separate report showed that services sector activity accelerated in December, with input prices hitting their highest level in almost two years. The data pointed to a strong economy, pushing benchmark 10-year Treasury yields up to 4.699%. This marked their highest level since April 26.

this year i built /base-builds : 1. An agent that creates onchain leaderboards of top engagement drivers on X for a project/ idea /movement and autonomously rewards the top creators. why? there is a widespread perception that you got to know the who's who of a chain/foundation to get grants. while base flips it on it's head via retrospective grants, i wanted to build a truly onchain, verifiable flow by recording the contributions onchain and rewarding on merit without any human intervention. 2. got to be a part of the first onchainAI agent fellowship. 3. got charged up by the insane builder energy at the based around the world gathering in bangalore. 4. met some of the smartest and driven builders i have seen anywhere in the world in the FBI gang. thanks to @saxenasaheb for being so welcoming to me in the base ecosystem. look forward to building much more and collaborating with many of you in 2025.

The cofounders of Roam (myself, @selfishfish and @jagra.eth are joining Coinbase to help accelerate the company’s onchain consumer efforts. We launched Roam because we believe that the foundation of the internet is evolving and becoming more open and permissionless. Our goal was to provide users with a mobile browser that was built for this onchain future. We are proud of the product we built and happy it was so well received by the community. We’re winding down the Roam app and joining Coinbase because this is where we can now have the biggest impact building products that support this new open financial system. Agree there's risk of penny wise / dollar stupid, & some of those examples are not the best (ads for the census are fine?). I think what they're trying to convey is: if gov't is allowed to mission-creep outside its defined role, it turns into a slush fund. Like it did in Afghanistan.
