Normally don’t jump on @vitalik.eth posts. But I work @Center Blockchain Law for Social Good & my research is crypto for public funding. So happy industry leader talking abt public projects. True - on donations having something like this bypasses the wastage in “administration” fees, where a large percentage of donations is eaten up Issuing coins for say a public project or something also provides a level of ownership that the coin holder has - incentives to hold/donate (purchase) more

Fees (in many transaction types) shape a lot more of costs and business models than people realize. Similar to insurance costs (in the background).

Exactly - often preventing the end goal And yes, insurance costs are so under appreciated, often overlooked and not considered. You don’t get insurance and something goes wrong, you cry. You get insurance and nothing goes wrong, you cry at the cost
