After the paper was read, just the other day,
Crafting thoughts on paper, no easy way,
Then standing to present, nerves start to stir,
Questions fly from all sides, a challenging blur.
Each word weighed heavy, each thought laid bare,
To field sharp questions that come from everywhere,
Answering swift, with confidence unshaken,
In a room where doubts and minds awaken.
To write and to speak, it takes steady grace,
To stand firm as ideas find their place,
Eyes watch closely, intent to test,
In the quest for truth, we give our best.
For those who rise to speak, theyβll always find,
In the world of thought, both fierce and kind,
The courage to answer, to take a stand,
Guided by wisdom, firm and grand.

Time's Driving Wheel
Side by side, they tell a tale,
Of roads once rough, and smoother trails.
One bears rust, the other's sleek,
Past and present, antique and chic.
Years have passed, yet both remain,
Steel and wheels through sun and rain.
Old grit, new gloss, both take their place,
On life's long, unending race.
(there is beauty in everyone, you may just need to look again)
