Despite all the snarks and vitriol, I actually see it as a net positive when a crypto personality or project leaves Ethereum for Solana. It raises the average IQ of both communities

November 7th of 2021 SOL = 258 USD MCAP = 78 billion USD November 22nd of 2024 SOL = 258 USD MCAP = 122 billion USD 3 years. +55% They don't even need "special" mechanism over there. Just some basics.

From mcap perspective that's successful. From price perspective ETH's been down by 18% in the same period. From economic perspective, it's good for tokens to be inflationary in early years. ETH was too. I don't think they're bothered.

I think years ago we didn't think too much about "dilution", but in the end that's what's happening here. Holders are getting diluted and there's likely no reason because there's so much SOL staked that SOL is as safe as it gets... But monetary policy is just no focus and so this will continue. In ETH land there's at least a discussion (and obviously way better development with 1559 etc.)...
